This Just In! - Friday 2/24

I know how it is when you are curious if there's something new at your favorite store, but you don't have time to stop by. So to feed that hunger, we are doing a weekly post featuring the products that are new at the collective! We'll save you a trip and you can even call us to purchase by phone! Standard shipping in the US is just $5 if you want us to mail it to you. How painless is that?!?

One of my favorite skincare lines, OHA Bioactive, has recently joined the collective! Not only do I adore OHA owner Martha and her cute assistant Meg, but I absolutely love what OHA is doing to my skin! I'll save the story for when I can attribute a whole post just to OHA, but for now, I will just outline a few of my favorite products that we are proudly offering here at the collective. *yay*

OHA Gift & Travel Set $36
Everything you need to get started

OHA Intensive Nutrient Complex $40
OHA Vitamin C Infused Hand Cream $29

If you've stopped by in the last week or so, then you have probably already fallen in love with all the cute clutches, belts and jewelry that are made in Colombia by Belice, the talented designer of "by BAC". Belice has amazing taste and her designs go great with everything else here at the shop.

Leather Clutch $200

Leather & Filigree Cuff $70

Spiral Necklace & Earrings $130/set

Join SPUN at "Pink Carpet Project"

I'm sure you have heard all about the recent decision the Susan G. Komen foundation made in regards to cease funding for breast cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood. Much like most people, I tweeted and facebooked a couple of links and wrote a few comments showing my disgust. But that's as far as it went because I didn't know what else I could do to help the situation. Unlike me, a smart lady decided to stand up and actually DO SOMETHING!

If you've ever walked into the store, you have most likely seen the gorgeous designs of Cameron Levin. She is the woman responsible for the popular Feather Dress which helped put her on the map of Seattle fashion. Followed most recently by her newest collection, Sati, Cameron Levin fans have flocked (no pun intended) to her website and here at the collective, to buy up her designs. What makes her collections unique is her vision for making women feel comfortable and beautiful while still having fun.

As if she wasn't busy enough, in just 24 hours, Cameron managed to gather a group of Seattle fashion designers, nationally known brands, performers and the regional Medical Director from Planned Parenthood for an evening of fashion and education geared towards supporting this fantastic organization. With just a simple idea and a small Facebook group, Cameron formed a team and spearheaded the "Pink Carpet Project".

Here's a statement from event's website:
Susan G. Komen Foundation benefits from countless fashion shows across the country because of its charitable work in women's healthcare. In direct response to the foundation's recent move to cut critical funding to Planned Parenthood's preventative clinical breast exams to low-income women, we fashion designers of the Puget Sound area stand in solidarity with Planned Parenthood. We are organizing a fashion show (Pink Carpet Project) to benefit Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and to bring attention to this important issue. Dr. Anna Kaminski, Medical Director for Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest, will host a short discussion on the status of its life-saving clinical breast exams and referrals for mammograms prior to the show.

Pink "P" Ribbons to be worn at the event
